RockStar Pet Collars was originally inspired by searching the world for a collar for our minature yorkie. We wanted something that had lots of bling, but was challenged by the weight of the collar being as heavy as she is. We believe it is not worth it to suffer for beauty. You can have it all! We figured that other pet owners were facing the same challenge so we set out on a mission to design a hip new collar line for pets of all shapes and sizes that looked like a statement piece of jewelry. Now any pet can now go naked with only their collar on or they can wear them to enhance their wardrobe.

RockStar Pet Collars is a collar line that has beauty and substance. It was designed to have a meaning and a purpose that is sacred to your pet. Just like a rock star, the pieces of jewelry that they wear are symbolic of something powerful inside that helps to build character, create balance and creates magnetic attraction. So whatever you are drawn to in our line is equally as important as the look itself. Our mantra is “As your pet evolves, so should their look.” We live by this concept in our own lives, so our animals do too.

ROCKSTAR PET COLLAR OWNERS

Hello I’m Laura, co-owner and lead designer of RockStar Pet Collars and this is my husband John. My husband and I started the Rockstar Pet Collars line to help pets have unique, blingy collars available that are weight conscious, while creating fabulous looks.

I am a serial entrepreneur.  I began my career as a celebrity makeup artist for tv, film, video and print, expanded into developing a marketing company with my husband named Creative Eye Q. It was there that I found my love in product design and development.

As a makeup artist, I started by working with rock stars and other celebrities. I was inspired by the attributes that they bring out in others, so the RockStar Pet Collar line has a lot of collars that are inspired by different musicians I have worked with and am inspired by.

I believe everyone of us, including our pets has rock star qualities, it is just a matter of bringing them out to be seen and expressed through our persona.

As bespoke pet designers, we design fashion forward, light-weight blingy collars, leashes and other accessories to bring out your pet's inner rock star.

2019
We get Valentina (our Polish Maltese Show Dog, named after Valentines Day because we got her in February). We we call the dancing queen, because she dances on two legs smiling. Later that year in December we get Blossum (our Parti Yorkie who is Indigo's girlfriend) became I couldn't stop thinking about her from the moment we met. Both dogs became family members and became RockStar Pet Collars new dog models. We launch our new website. We expand into creating pet hair accessories, because of all of the long hair I am working with. We get inspired to create new pet personas from head to toe. Using my fashion background in makeup, I expand into new clothing designs, accessories and a dog shoe line.

Jewel passes away unexpectedly because of kidney disease and I decide to keep RockStar Pet Collars alive, as a remembrance of her legacy. I am heartbroken, but at a certain point, I wanted another yorkie. I missed my little Jewel so much. When I met Blossum a Parti Yorkie and Indigo, a Yorkie show dog from Russia, from Briar Creek Doll Faced Yorkies and Maltese, I fell madly in love. How could I possibly choose? I bought Indigo first and Blossum a year later, because I just had to have both. Indigo, my little heartthrob became a family member and a RockStar Pet Collar model. We expanded by opening up our Amazon our store in the USA and Canada. We start selling to international companies right off the bat.
2017
We open our Etsy store and multiple Instagram profiles. Our company gains international recognition as Jewel rises to fame. In just 7 posts on her Instagram page, the press reaches out and offers her a 6 month press contract. She and I go on a tv show This Morning (in London), shes on magazine covers, in online articles and in Dillard's fashion videos as the easter dog bunny. At this point we add leashes to our line to create a runway ready look.
2016

When we got Jewel it was love at first sight. Once she started getting her hair groomed, she became a whole different dog.

Our sweet little yorkie Jewel comes into our lives sold by a backyard breeder on Craigs list. She shows up at the perfect time when my mom was dying from cancer. Jewel opens my heart, nurtures my soul and is my baby. She inspires us to create a pet collar line that's going to make a huge different in the lives of animals. The collars were light weight for dogs and cats, because so many lines are so heavy that they cause health problems like arthritis in the necks later on in life. RockStar Pet Collars is born. This is when Jewel undergo's a transformation into becoming pink using vegetable based dog dye, which was (inspired by makeup I did on Mimi for the Drew Carey Show) to look like a rock star and to take on a stand in fighting cancer and cancer awareness. We get so inspired by all of our amazing animals that we give them a voice in the world on a blog called Two Bengals and a Purse Dog.
2015
We get Tango (our Carmel Bengal) from Bengal Manor in Oaklahoma and Kisses (our Silver Bengal) from Sierra Love Bengals in Alabama as little kittens and it changes our life, both were breathtaking, so exotic and sparkly in the sunlight. We feel like wild kingdom had shown up and I was memorized with their personalities and beauty. Our world changes and inspiration strikes as our kitten obsession begins. We get heavily into photography and shoot tons of photos of our new kittens.
